PBX Administration Studio is the working tool of the experienced engineer of technical support or qualified PBX administrator. It allows to automate (to simplify, accelerate, execute independently) most of the common administration tasks.
Supported equipment
The main equipment, for work with which it is used PAS, is Meridian-1 (Nortel) and Definity (Avaya). Besides, the program can work with any other equipment (for example ITG, Terminal Server, Mercator, Passport), having the similar management interface:
- Terminal type: TTY, VT100/220, ATT4410, and also mode DUMP;
- Connection type: COM-port, Rlogin, Telnet, SSH.
PAS has minimum necessary set of control sequences of VT and ATT terminals. Full emulation of these terminals is not provided. The emulator of function keys F1-F12, PgUp, PgDn, Home, End is adjustable and can be used with any type of the terminal.
Terminal Emulator
In the terminal emulator file transfer functions under the report x-modem which work at connection on COM-port, Rlogin and Telnet are realised. These functions allow to download files (for example files of configuration Meridian-1) from the objects which are operated on a network and not having access on FTP.
Functions of record and reproduction of broad gulls-files with operating sequences of the terminal are realised. At broad gull-file reproduction, there is a possibility of use of a pause, "rewind" forward and back, change of speed of reproduction. These functions allow in convenient form to look through broad gulls-files of work with such stations as Mercator and Definity, and also Meridian Mail.
The emulator supports a mode of input of Russian letters in LD 95 at stations with software S03.00 and above for devices 39XX and i200x in Russian mode.
Attention! Nortel this function officially does not support! Besides it is impossible to use Russian names together with functions Caller's List, Redial List and Personal Directory.
Messages Meridian 1
In the terminal emulator function of delivery of the text of messages Meridian-1 in a terminal window is realised. The given function works in a mode online and at playing of the written down broad gulls-files.
For use of this function it is necessary to put a daw in the field Setup-> Terminal-> M1 Messages.
Decoder Q931
The terminal emulator possesses the built in decoder of trace of D-channel Q.931/DEBG of station Meridian-1.
For decoder use put a daw in the field Setup-> Terminal-> M1 Dch decoder.
Module Table/Tree
Universal module Table/Tree carries out following functions:
- Serves as means of input/conclusion of the information in the form of tables for language of scripts PAS;
- Has functions of import of listings of configuration Meridian-1 which allow to build various tables or trees;
- Has functions of copying, an insert and export of the data in/from MS-Excel.
These functions are used for creation of the complete set of reports on station which are necessary for engineers for daily work.
Table/Tree - M1 Sets
Plotter of the table of user's ports of station Meridian 1. As the initial data the broad gull-file created by a script m1getrouting or listing TNB is used.
Table/Tree - M1 Routing
Plotter of a tree of routeing of station Meridian 1. As the initial data the broad gull-file created by a script m1getrouting is used.
Table/Tree - M1 Configuration
Plotter of a tree of a configuration of station Meridian 1. As the initial data the broad gull-file created by a script m1getconfig is used.
Meridian-1 Tools - CorpDir
The given module allows to conduct the corporate directory (Corporate Directory) without use OTM.
Meridian-1 Tools - CCBR
Analyzer CCBR of files Meridian 1 - 11C.
- Definition of the version of the software;
- Definition Site ID;
- Definition of number of a configuration on counter DB SEQ NUM;
- A conclusion of field INFO;
- Export of files of which consists CCBR a station file 11С (including patches);
Meridian-1 Tools - DIRECT.REC
The analyzer of files DIRECT.REC allows to look through the given licences (ISM, PKG, Key Codes).
Scripts
Scripts are the basic means of automation of work with the equipment. Are supported built in in.Net languages: C# and VB.Net, and also PAS, as the simplified variant C# with wrappers for all additional functions.
In the program the editor of forms for scripts, and also record possibility in a script of activity of the emulator of the terminal is realised.
With PASом some tens ready scripts for the various purposes are delivered.
Plug-ins
Plug-ins are the compiled scripts with additional possibilities. In the program the compiler of plug-ins with addition possibility in assemblage of files-resources is realised.
Help
The help system to PAS contains not only articles on using the program, but also set of articles on station Meridian-1. It is conceived as storehouse of the knowledge got with experience or obtained in forums and conferences. It is supposed to supplement sections of system and article in process of occurrence of new knowledge.
Requirements to a computer configuration
PAS can work on any computer with established and efficient.Net Frameworks 2 and above.
Licensing
PAS has three variants of licences:
Free
In the free version of the program the terminal emulator, and also a set of scripts is accessible to work with station Meridian-1.

Personal (Standard)
The personal licence allows to use following functions:
- The emulator of the terminal with the decoder of trace Q931
- Plotters M1Sets, M1Routing and M1Configuration
- Module Meridian-1 Tools: Corporate Directory, analyzers CCBR and DIRECT.REC files
- A set of scripts and plug-ins
- The compiler of plug-ins
Licence cost makes 3000 rbl.

Professional
The professional licence allows to use functions similar to the personal licence, and also the decoder of given channels DTC1 and DTC2.
Besides to owner Professional of the licence there is accessible a plug-in for emulation of commands of management DTC1.
